Application of Saddles.
Saddles are used in two main fields but have different properties depending on the application. One field is the chemical and petrochemical industries and another is in environmental areas such as RTO equipment.
Here we introduce the ceramic saddles (Type B) are used as the RTO and heattransfer medium.
These saddles are made from chemical porcelain and have excellent resistance to acids except in the case of hydrofluoric acid. Mostly used as heat transfer media and are of much higher density and require good high temperature resistance.
porcelains specific gravity is 2.3-2.4g/cm3 and an average heat capacity(between 20 C and 500C of 0.22 cal/g. C), softening point is 1400C min. And they show good thermal shock resistance during repeated cycling between 20 C and 820 C.

For factory shipments over 84 M3 or 3000 cuft:
Randomly pick 100-200 pieces of ceramic saddles from the batch or shipment
For each sample selected, heat it up to 820centigrade degree and maintain them at this temperature for 30 minutes
Drop the hot pieces into cold 20 centigrade degree water
Repeat steps two(2) and three(3) ten(10) times on each and every piece in the sample lot.
Examine the pieces and count the percentage that show clear signs of breakage and/or cracking. Our standard is less than seven (7%) percent.
